Mary Alice Reporting –

Teens entering grades 6-12 are invited to participate in Game On – Read On, the Dover Library’s 2023 Summer Reading Program.

Participants will be challenged to complete tasks on a special Bingo card to win prizes like books, gift cards, and the grand prize, a Nintendo Switch Lite. This program will run June 1 through July 31. Cards must be returned to the Dover Public Library by August 4 to be entered to win.

The Game On – Read On Teen Summer Reading Program is sponsored by a 21st Century Grant with Dover High School, which supports learning opportunities outside of classroom walls.

Meanwhile, the library will offer several free, weekly programs for teens in grades 6 through 12th.

Maker Monday’s are currently ongoing at 3pm in the Dover library community room, which gives participants the chance to learn a snack recipe and then uses pieces to create an items, such as canvas bags, 3D prints, or custom buttons.

Teen Tuesdays are weekly events, at 3:00 PM in the Community Room, and this summer’s lineup includes game days, crafts, and trivia. Some events will be held outside on the Dover High School lawn.
