Terrin Ly’Roy Hendricks, 32, of Newcomerstown, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2022, after a tragic house fire. Terrin was born on August 20, 1990, to Tina Tristano and William Calhoun (AKA Ira Hendricks II) in Akron. In 2005, Terrin met LeRoy Elliott as a blind date for her homecoming. The two went on to bless their parents with four beautiful granddaughters, Addison Marie, Aeriel May, Abigail Lee, and Alyssa Rain, who were Terrin’s entire world.

Throughout her life, Terrin went on doing what she loved the most, and that was being a very loving and caring mother to not only her children, but to many other friends’ and family members’ children (blood or not). There always seemed to be room in her heart for more.

Even though she’s left this world, her loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community and for her family and friends. She made an impact on everyone she met.

Terrin is survived by her mother, Tina, and stepfather Michael Beney; sister, Braxton, and brother, Kadin; maternal grandparents, Mary (who lovingly called Terrin “Toot”) and Dennis McClain; aunts and uncles, Phill and Angie Tristano, Tony and Jodi Tristano, Tricia Norris, Mark and Phyllis Roberts; cousins, Donovan Tristano (who always called her “Nairde”), Kira Tristano and Grace Owsley; numerous other aunts and uncles. She is also survived by her father, Will, and stepmother, Terrie R. Calhoun; her step-siblings, Michaela Thomas (brother-in-law, Aaron Thomas), Brandon Garbrandt (sister-in-law, Emily Garbrandt), Eric Garbrandt (sister-in-law Jamie Menapace), and stepbrother Rick Garbrandt; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald “Duck” Tristano and Kathleen Inherst; great-grandparents, Melvin and Dorothy Roberts and Ernest and Opal Tristano Goodall.

The number of people & lives Terrin impacted is too innumerable to mention. She will be remembered by so many as someone who gave the shirt off her back to those in need, someone who loved hard, was a little feisty and unapologetically herself. Terrin gave the best hugs and had the most contagious giggle, which was comparable to none. She will be missed more than words could ever begin to describe.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
