The Redeemed 22 is a faith-based recovery support group for veterans and meeting will begin February 5th.

It’s based on 22 verses of scripture compiled by founder Shaun Patterson, representing the 22 veterans who die by suicide each day.

“A lot of veterans struggle everyday with their identity, their purpose, and they reach out in negative ways, they search for love in the wrong places whether it’s drug or alcohol. The Redeemed 22 is to help give them guidance and reestablish who they are.”

Redeemed 22 will host meetings, open to all veterans, on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Mosaic Community Church on Monroe Avenue in New Philadelphia.

“It’s just a group that’s going to give the camaraderie together again. A lot of the resources out there have done their job but we just want to expand on that. Get the brotherhood and sisterhood back together.”
