Thelma Lucille Watson – January 7, 2023

Thelma Lucille Watson, 94, of Newcomerstown, passed away on January 7, 2023, at her home. She was born December 18, 1928, in Newcomerstown to the late Marshall and Dessie Mae (Moore) Miller.

She spent much of her life as a homemaker and also worked at WeatherSeal in Newcomerstown for several years.

Thelma loved her red birds and being outside. She loved spending time with her family, friends and neighbors.

She married Harold A. Watson on December 28, 1944, who passed away in 1998, after almost 54 years together.

Thelma is survived by her daughter Virginia (Bruce) Poland; her grandchildren, Jody Knisley, Amy (Mark) Berry, and Jennifer Workman (Chris LeMaster). In addition to her parents and husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Mulikin; her eight siblings, Ed Miller, Lean Ross, Paul Miller, Evelyn Belt, Blanche Miller, Bill Miller, John Kelly, and Becky Freetage.
