Thomas D. Hammersley, 72 of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at Truman House.
Thomas was born February 27, 1954, in Coshocton to the late Thomas E. and Wilma (McMillen) Hammersley. He was a member of the Newcomerstown Moose Lodge, and a lifetime member of Plainfield Masonic Lodge 224 Free and Accepted Masons. He enjoyed playing guitar and loved classic cars and trains.
He is survived by his loving wife Terrie (Gainer) Hammersley; his children Cassandra (Travis) Sockman, Sierra (Stacey) Hammersley, and Angela Miller; his step-children Troy Jones, Kim (Bill) Bryant, Josiah (Janet) Jones, Luke Jones, and Jessica (Vic) Jones; his grandson Thomas Hammersley; his great-grandchildren Taylee and Hardyn; his brother Paul Hensley; and many cousins and friends.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Newcomerstown Moose Lodge 1337. Thomas will be laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
