Thomas Jefferson Snively, Jr., 63, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, formerly of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. Born January 19, 1961 in Dennison, Ohio, he was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Glenna Irene (Nalley) Snively.

Tom will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his daughter, Jamie (Adam) Meiser; son, Shane (Samantha) Snively; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Taylor) Beamer, Tanner Speer, Kaleb Leavers, and Ava and Blair Snively; great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Axten; siblings, Carol (Joe) Haynes, Richard (Vonda) Snively, Mary (Tom) Clark, and Debbie (Dave) Hursey; mother-in-law, Donna Callahan; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Tony and Linda Callahan, Ike (companion, Lisa Lafferty) Callahan, Jack and Sherry Callahan, and Jo Callahan; and many nieces and nephews.

On June 17, 1989, Tom married the former Vickie L. Callahan who preceded him in death on September 6, 2020, after nearly 31 years of marriage. Together, they owned and operated Snively Trucking for over 30 years. When he wasn’t working, Tom loved riding his motorcycle, and most recently, had enjoyed spending time sitting on his porch watching over his cows — especially his new calves.

Tom’s brother-in-law, Tony Callahan will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Tuesday, July 30, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside his beloved wife in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery in Gnadenhutten. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service.
