The open at-large council seat for the City of Dover has been filled.
The Dover Democrat Central committee meet Wednesday to appoint someone to the position that became open with Gina Space’s win as the city’s law director.
Nominated to serve was Cookie Cozart, Michael DiDonato and Perci Garner, with Garner selected. The term runs until the end of 2025 and he will be sworn into office next week.
Garner has been the executive Director of the Rainbow Connection since December 2020 and has also served on the boards of the Tuscarawas County YMCA, Prevention Action Alliance, and the Tuscarawas County Community Improvement Corporation. He is also a Dover Rotary Club member.
