Two accidents Thursday night and Friday morning sent a motorcycle rider and an industrial worker to hospitals in Akron and Canton.

Thursday, New Philadelphia’s police and fire departments responded to a motorcycle crash on Fair Avenue Northeast near the Delaware. Scanner traffic indicated the rider was on the ground and breathing but not moving. The motorcycle operator was not wearing a helmet. He was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, according to fire officials. New Philadelphia Police were not immediately able to provide an update.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old worker at a Deeds Drive company is in stable condition at an Akron hospital following an accident at an industrial facility Friday morning. Around 7:15 a.m., Dover crews responded to a report of a 17-year-old who got caught in a piece of equipment and was bleeding from the head. Officials said they checked on a helicopter transport, but the weather was too bad at the time, so he was transported to Akron via ambulance. Dover Police provided an update this afternoon to say the teen was in stable condition at an Akron Hospital.
