A March 21st fundraiser helps develop and maintain an extensive trail system.
Ohio and Erie Canalway Coalition Event Coordinator Lauren Anderson says the 12th annual Taste of Tusc features samples from local breweries, wineries, and restaurants. 300 tickets are available for purchase, which is online only.
“Presale general admission tickets are $45. That gets you in the door at six o’clock, six to eight, and everybody gets a complimentary tasting glass that they can take home as well.”
$55 VIP tickets get the buyer early access.
Overall, Anderson points out proceeds go toward trail development.
“Our Ohio and Erie Canalway Towpath Trail is 101 miles, and we still have nine miles to complete, and the majority is in Tuscarawas County. So, really focusing on working with our partners in the community and raising funds and getting those miles completed.”
The 6 to 8pm fundraiser will be at the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center. More details are at www.ohioeriecanal.org/events.
