Timmy Dale Mick, Sr., 78, a resident of Uhrichsville, Ohio for 54 years, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, Ohio, after a sudden illness. Born November 24, 1946 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Ernest Carl and Georgia Mabel (Russell) Mick.
Tim was a 1965 graduate of Wellsville High School who enjoyed a long career as a baker – first with Litty’s and then at Buehler’s in New Philadelphia, until his retirement at the age of 70. He also spent over a decade as a bus driver for Claymont Public Schools. Tim was a proud Corvette owner who loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also an animal lover who truly considered his dogs part of his family.
On July 27, 1985, Tim married the former Jean Ann Randolph with whom he enjoyed nearly 36 years of marriage until her passing on December 21, 2021. He is survived by a son, Tim (Gayle) Mick; daughter, Dianna (Rod) Fondriest; stepchildren, Debbie (J.R.), Larry (Kristy), Catina, and Kahle; grandchildren, Fantasia, Ashley, Kendra, Angie, Jessica, C.J., Garrett, Stephen, Courtney, Kyla, Jacob, Ryan, Kellie, and Jimmy; brother, Paul (Grace) of Arizona; sister, Georgia “Sis” of Maryland; and a large extended family including many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Caitlin, and three brothers, Lester, Carl, and Ernest “Junior”.
In keeping with Tim’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. His family will celebrate his life privately on a future date. He will be interred along with his beloved wife in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
