Todd Michael McCahill, age 59, of Chardon, and a former resident of Dover, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Born May 6, 1966, in Massillon, he was the son of Martha M. (Zaugg) McCahill of Dover and the late Ronald E. McCahill. Todd graduated from Dover High School in 1984 and went on to study at Bowling Green State University, earning his bachelor’s degree. Todd further augmented his education by taking courses at Kent State University. He taught in the Euclid City School District as well as in Chardon.
Todd played softball as a young man and enjoyed riding motorcycles with his father and brothers. He liked to hike, travel, and was a Cleveland Guardians fan.
He will be dearly missed by his mother, Martha; his brothers, Scott McCahill of New Philadelphia, and Mark (Melissa Amistadi) McCahill of Dover; his niece and nephew, Nikole and Cody McCahill; and his many cousins.
Family and friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover, on Friday, October 17, 5 – 7 p.m. A service celebrating Todd’s life will follow at 7, officiated by Celebrant Kevin O’Brien. His cremated remains will be placed privately in Patterson Union Cemetery, Deersville.
