A ten-county region launches a new tourist destination brand. Ohio Foothills includes Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas counties.

Local Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Director of Partnership Development Diane Lautenschleger says this project is thanks to grant funding from the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association and the Governor’s Office of Appalachia.

“Through the branding process we established the mission that the Ohio Foothills connects travelers and new residents to a region where small towns tell big stories. We invite you to wander freely, experience authentic local life, and plant roots in a place that feels just like home.”

She says tourism is big business and this new brand is another layer to promote local businesses and other destinations.

“We each had our own photoshoot and really focusing on the four pillars that are outdoor recreation, our attractions that are throughout those 10 counties.”

Points of interest for all partner counties can be found on the new website, visitohiofoothills.com.
