Mary Alice Reporting –

Anyone wanting to cast a ballot in the November general election will need to be registered and the deadline is Tuesday, October 10th.

The day after, October 11th, will begin early in-person voting at the Tuscarawas County Courthouse.

Board of Elections Director Gail Garbrandt explains the final day to register is for anyone who has had a name or residential change or for those who have not cast a ballot ever or over the past few years.

“If you are not registered to vote, if you’ve changed your address or if you’ve changed your name since the last time you’ve vote, and if you changed your name you have to have court documentation to authenticate that.”

The BOE office will be open 8am to 9pm on Tuesday.

On the general election ballot for Tuscarawas County voters will see options including two statewide issues, contested mayor and council races in the cities of Dover and Uhrichsville, along with multiple renewal tax issues.
