TUFF Bags is ready to transition to their summer program after delivering just over 80,000 meal bags during the 2024/2025 school year.

Director Lisa Walker says it’s important to have a year-round operation to ensure Tuscarawas County kids have accessible meals.

“And we are very excited to offer 13 pickup locations this year which is almost double what we’ve been able to offer in the past.”

New for the summer months will be a limited home delivery option, which will be done regionally depending on the day.

“We understand there’s a lot of transportation challenges so that’s on a first come first serve basis. You give us a call and we can try to work with you and get bags delivered to your home for your kiddos.”

The summer meals program runs June 10th through August 8th. Walker notes pick-ups will be Tuesday through Friday at various times and locations.

“That’s why we ask people to register to make sure that we’re bringing enough bags for families to pick up. We have families that go to Dover but pickup in Newcomerstown. It doesn’t matter where your kids goes to school it’s just wherever it’s most convenient for you to pick up.”
