The Tuscarawas Arts Partnership is getting ready to kick off a year-long celebration.
The organization is observing its 10th anniversary here in 2025 with a full schedule of events and activities.
Executive director Wilma Mullet says the first is a kickoff party Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Daily Grind Cafe, where TAP got its start.
Next month marks the return of the artsthrive business development and financial literacy program for creators. That’s on Saturdays mornings in March at the first federal community bank financial education center in north Dover.
Then on April 26th, tap is hosting a 10th anniversary soiree at Arts NCT with the theme ‘ebony and ivory.’
“We are accepting art work from arts in 2D, 3D forms, pretty much anything in the spectrum of black and white and gray, and we’re going to encourage our guests to come dressed in black and white.”
There will be another arts signing day the following Wednesday for high school seniors pursuing a post-secondary education or career in the arts, culture, and creative fields.
“At that event we also do an arts educator of the year award. Recognize the time and effort and talent our arts educator have really invested in their students.”
The schedule is on the Tuscarawas Arts Partnership’s website and also includes two 10th anniversary installments of art on the alley. Those will be on May 4th and October 12th in downtown New Philadelphia, weather permitting.
