On Thursday, the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced that Indian Valley senior running back Grady Kinsey is the 2025 Ohio Mr. Football.

The 5’9”, 200 pound back led the Braves to the Division 4 state title a year ago and brought them back to the state final four this season.

He had led the state in rushing for the past two seasons and leads the state in scoring this season. Kinsey has also set the state record for most career rushing touchdowns and most touchdowns overall.

Indian Valley Head Coach Matt Lancaster says despite all the records, Kinsey is a selfless player and a generous teammate.

“Grady’s numbers could have been a lot more than what they even were and he knows that. He was never a numbers guy, and he always gives credit to everybody else.”

Earlier this week Kinsey signed his national letter of intent to attend the Air Force Academy where he will play football. He told us earlier this week what comes next.

“It’s going to be basic training middle of June and then not allowed to touch a football until football season starts there in maybe end of July/August, so it’s going to be an eventful summer.”

Kinsey joins a list of past Ohio Mr. Football winners include Joe Burrow, Charles Woodson, and Robert Smith.
