Mary Alice Reporting –

A 39-year-old has been arrested following reports of several Friday morning burglaries.

According to the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, the first call cam in just before 4am after an alarm went off in the Roswell Dollar General. The store had been broken into and numerous unlisted items were taken.

A few hours later, it was discovered that the office window at Tuscarawas Valley Elementary had been broken and Chromebooks stolen. Provided video shows the suspect never leaving the office area.

Other video footage shows this same suspect at the dollar store and the same vehicle, which was familiar to Deputy Chase Newell.

While driving in Zoarville, the older model truck was identified and there was visible merchandise.

A search was obtained for the truck and home, with evidence collected, including a weapon, criminal tools, and a pop-up camper stolen out of Stark County.

The home occupant and owner of the vehicle was arrested. No name was immediately provided.

Additionally, the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office is working in conjunction with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office regarding a break in and theft from the Dollar General in Sherrodsville.
