The Tuscarawas County Health Department (TCHD) routinely conducts mosquito control surveillance and will spray once again.
Technicians will conduct mosquito spraying in Warwick Township on Tuesday, August 5, from 8 pm to 11 pm; in the City of Dover and small portions of Goshen & York Townships on Wednesday, August 6, from 8 pm to 11 pm; and in the City of Uhrichsville and Village of Dennison on Thursday, August 7, from 8 pm to 11 pm.
In the event of inclement weather, spraying will be postponed. Persons with respiratory problems should take appropriate actions
Precautions individuals can take include:
– Use insect repellent when you go outdoors; and when weather permits, wear long sleeves, long pants, and socks.
– During peak mosquito biting hours from dusk to dawn, take extra care to use repellent and protective clothing
– Empty standing water from flowerpots, gutters, buckets, pool covers, pet water dishes, discarded tires and birdbaths at least every three days.
