The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an individual who robbed the Duke and Duchess BP store on Adena Drive in Newcomerstown.
This was around 2:45am Monday. Sheriff Orvis Campbell says the man was completely covered. He’s not even sure they can identify his race.
“An individual on foot came in with bagged hands and all portions of his body covered including wearing sunglasses. Stole some alcohol and demanded all the money from the register.”
While he threatened the clerk, a gun was not visible.
“There was no gun brandished. He had his hand in his pocket like he had a gun. Clerk that was there just followed his orders.”
Campbell says police and deputies searched for the suspect on foot, with K-9 Officers and with a drone, but were unsuccessful.
They are asking anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s office at 330-339-2000.
