Almost three dozen drug task forces in Ohio will receive funding from the state to promote substance use awareness, prevention, and recovery.

More than $2.1 million in grants were available from Governor Mike DeWine’s RecoveryOhio Law Enforcement Fund. The RecoveryOhio initiative aims to increase awareness about substance use and mental health, implement education in schools, and help individuals find treatment.

The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office received $76,000 and the Stark County Sheriff’s Office received $10,000.

A total of $2,139,390.50 was distributed to 35 existing drug task forces.
