The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities has named Amy Adam as its new superintendent.
Adam takes over for Nate Kamban, who passed away in late July after leading the agency since 2017. Adam most recently oversaw operations and business functions at TuscBDD and also has leadership experience in nonprofit and private-sector organizations.
Board President Julie Brinkman says Adam’s experience and knowledge of the agency have prepared her well for the role.
Adam says the appointment is especially meaningful because one of her first jobs involved supporting people with disabilities. She says she looks forward to continuing TuscBDD’s mission of helping people with developmental disabilities participate, contribute, and belong in Tuscarawas County.
