
New Philadelphia’s mayor says the city is gearing up for some busy times around the Labor Day holiday.
Joel Day was telling council this week another summer season is winding down at Tuscora Park and the last chance to swim at the pool will be Monday and the final day for park rides is Sunday, September 7th.
Day say work will then start on the new inclusive playground after the park closes for the season. crews will also be preparing locations for three new kiddie rides and completing dugout construction and other features at baseball field number 2.
Day says the experimental aircraft association will also be hosting its second annual wings and wheels fly-in and cruise-in from 9:30 am to 3 pm this Sunday at Harry Clever Field.
The city is also looking forward to its first multi-cultural festival hosted by the N-Pact organization coming up Saturday, September 6th from 1 to 6 pm.
