The Tuscarawas Valley School District unveiled the new performing arts center in the Middle-High School building.
The grand opening for the new center, which was still being constructed when school opened early September, took place on Sunday.
District Director of Operations Mark Murphy said the theme of the ceremony was “stepping forward.”
“Stepping forward, also I believe in a healthy way, requires deliberate reflection [and] intentionality of looking back and recognizing losses, hurts, and disappointments.”
The performing arts center was made possible by donors, who were recognized by School Board President Richard Gooding.
Others in attendance were Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, First Lady Fran DeWine, and TV student Brynn Goedel, who made her first public outing since her recent release from the hospital.
