A local farmer’s market is renamed and is changing locations ahead of their 3rd season.
The Twin City Farmer’s Market, previously Uhrichsville Farmer’s Market, will be held in Dennison on N. 4th Street, right next to the gazebo, says Board Member Laura Gray.
“It’s a more flexible space. We have storage space, outlets for our vendors, the sound systems already here.”
Whitney Manson says the two changes is looking toward the future.
“We felt like being good stewards of the organization we did what was in the best for the organization and the community, which is to provide quality access to fresh local produce.”
Uhrichsville Mayor Jim Zucal issued a statement thanking the market for their “excellent work in the city” and “efforts in providing access to quality food”.
Manson notes opening day is June 6th.
“It will run every Friday until August 29th [from] 5 to 8pm. No market on July 4th.”
Board member Shana Angel is also a market vendor with Angel Family Farms; she says her freezers are ready for the season.
“The move is exciting because here we feel there is so much stability and community support. We have market’s every Friday so we’re going to see that steady cash flow the whole summer. It’d be more consistent for our customers. This market is just so much fun to be at.”
They are also seeking volunteers. More details on helping along with demonstrations or class schedules can be found on the Twin City Farmer’s Market Facebook page.
