Mary Alice Reporting –
Charges have been handed down for two individuals involved in a road rage incident.
The Tuscarawas County Grand Jury indicted 20-year-old Wyatt Shaw, of Gnadenhutten, and 19-year-old Landon Levengood, of Sherrodsville, with felonious assault, a 2nd-degree felony.
The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office was contacted on February 9th by Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital following a 53-year-old seeking treatment.
Detective Captain Adam Fisher said the victim had been on W. High Avenue when he was cut off by a truck, resulting in him to flash his lights and blowing the horn. The truck then, according to the interview, followed the victim.
“The altercation started as a verbal altercation and quickly escalated to a physical altercation where our victim was assaulted by what he believed to be three different males in the same vehicle.”
The victim suffered serious injuries to the face by punches and kicks.
Three individuals took part in the incident, but Shaw and Levengood were identified as the primary aggressors. They are scheduled to appear in Tuscarawas County Common Pleas court on June 26th.
