Voters will choose between two women vying for the 31st District Republican State Central Committee.

The two year term begins March 20, 2024.

Antonia Blake is the incumbent and running for her second term. She says she votes for what the constituents want and is not part of an agenda.

“I’ve co-sponsored resolutions to protect the unborn sanctity of life, for second amendment, against [President Joe] Biden’s title nine agenda in the school system, which is the woke agenda, also I was a co-sponsor and helped with the censure of the Blue 22, the House of Representatives that voted with the democrats this past year.”

Kathy Kimble is seeking election and says the central committee needs a conservative Republican. Her business knowledge will also be a benefit.

“Worked a lot with candidates in the past fundraising, I’m used to working with budgets and being conservative in finances, looking forward to the future and not just the immediate. I support good issues, I’m pro-life, pro-second amendment, pro-speech, parental rights, legal immigration, and I will be looking for all of that in our future candidates.”

The Central Committee is the governing body of the Republican Party of Ohio and manages party operations within the state, which include maintaining communication, attending events, and the committee representative, if needed, finds replacement candidates if a person could no longer serve in a local elected role.
