Uhrichsville’s service director is emphasizing for council to make the water park needs a priority.

Cade Watkins provided a letter listing concerns.

“The slides, the play structure, the concrete pool is leaking significantly. Aging pumps and we don’t have extra pumps ready in case anything happens, so that could be a significant closure of an attraction or potentially even the water park depending on which on fails.”

Watkins adds most of the issues require a specialist or specific product.

“Sealant in between the concrete pads and the base are all specialized 3M product. That’s just one thing. The first estimate we had for just an inspection of the slides was $9,000. That’s just coming out to tell us what’s wrong with it before we even go to how to fix it.”

Administration previously brought up the maintenance issues surrounding the almost two decades old attraction that still is being paid off for another eight years. Early estimated costs for repairs could be upwards of $1 million.
