Following a resolution with the Village of Dennison, payments will be made over the next few years.

The City of Uhrichsville and the village was involved in a brief dispute over high school tax money that was agreed upon for a percentage to go to both municipalities. Payments stopped under previous city administration after legal counsel told the mayor the agreement was not binding.

Mayor Jim Zucal worked with Mayor Greg DiDanato and a resolution was made for the city to make payments.

At the most recent council meeting, Finance Committee Chair Polly Clark outlined the pay back plan.

“The total owed is $58,854.09 which we’ve broken down for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026, and one month of 2027, that’ll be paid at the end of each quarter starting April 1st. Each payment is $4,904.51.”

There will be no interest charged and council unanimously approved the matter.
