Mary Alice Reporting –

Thursday evening City of Uhrichsville Council voted on a contract extension with Kimble Companies.

The five year approval extends the existing contract for trash and recycling pick-up and the bulk of the language did not change; however, pricing will change.

Brett Fegan, Municipal Sales Manager, spoke to council.

“Right now you’re paying $15.97 for trash and every other week recycling and we have proposed in that first year, to go to $17.29. Considering inflation, what we’re seeing out there in market costs, I think that’s a very fair price. Then for your bag service, and every other week recycling, that’s going to $11.28, an 84 cent increase.”

Council members ultimately gave affirmative votes for the extensions.
