Mary Alice Reporting –

Every second and fourth Friday of the month will bring downtown Uhrichsville to life with fresh produce and vendors.

The Uhrichsville Farmer’s Market will open their season this Friday, from 5 to 8pm, and it continues until the end of October.

Co-founder Whitney Manson says they are excited to bring even more to shoppers.

“We have classes, demos, and community partners [which will] expand. [For the classes] we decided we have very talented vendors, artisans, farmers. The knowledge they have is vast so we’re going to use them.”

The local market is also being recognized as a retailer for SNAP. An information booth will also be labeled to help individuals navigate the market and the new additions.

Additionally, Manson points out that special event dates are scheduled.

“The first one, September 13th, is a harvest festival, October 11th is customer appreciation, and then October 25th is kids’ day and that will most likely be Halloween themed.”
