Grant funding is awarded to the City of Uhrichsville for a project that will coincide with a full depth asphalt replacement and road widening.

Mayor Jim Zucal says this is on Wardell Street and the latest grant announcement is $165,000.

“I’m very excited, very pleased. Can’t think of the last time where this was on a state wide headed where the city of Uhrichsville received $455,000 with no match money.”

The combination of awards for the rehabilitation and culvert work totals around $700,000, says Zucal.

“A lot of good work there. I want to thank Cade [Watkins] again. We worked with the Ohio Department of Development team to get that money and its effect work on Wardell Street. The industrial area going to ColorWrap.”

The latest grant money will widen the curbs at the Wardell/Trenton Avenue intersection.
