Following his appointment as mayor for the City of Uhrichsville, Jim Zucal announced new administrative employees.
Staff within the mayor’s office are appointed by the office holder and while a Service Director has not been named, two other employees were named Tuesday evening.
Zucal said his new administrative assistant is Joanna Bowyer and previous councilmember Amy Myers has stayed on as the code enforcement official.
He is also hoping for strong, effective committees that will be appointed by council’s president.
“I want to create some new committees. I want to create a traffic panel, I want to look at some safety committees, a strong park committee. I just ask that we all be polite and professional. Have good creative discussion, good open discussion. I want you to work with [but] you don’t always have to agree.”
Newly elected Law Director Jeff Merklin also introduced himself to attendees.
