The city is paying $1,000 per month to lease the property at S. Romig and Trenton.
The old service garage, at N. Main and E. 2nd, was purchased by Larry Wood, of Wood Electric.
At council’s latest meeting, street superintendent Steve Patterson gave an update, saying they’ve officially moved in.
“I do have the new fuel tanks up and running, and are running fine.”
Patterson previously mentioned the old tanks were not up to code.
Patterson also provided more insight into the new salt bin going in on W. 4th Street.
“All the parts are on order. They’re going to start that as soon as they receive the roof and the blocks. It’s on track probably first week of October.”
Mayor Jim Zucal said he’s happy about the move and is excited to talk with Wood and learn more about what is planned for the building.
