Ahead of the April 1st deadline, Uhrichsville council approved this year’s budget.

At the March 28th meeting a unanimous vote passed the budget and administration says the city is in good standing.

Mayor Jim Zucal adds that following reconciliations, they took the line items from last year and add three percent expenditures.

“And made some changes to certain departments to allow the offset of revenue and expenses, and we feel we’re going to have a good grasp on the waterpark this year, so we feel our numbers are going to be good and we feel they’re going to be better than they were last year.”

In addition, the city will soon undergo three separate contract negotiations. Councilman Matt Fox suggested that, as part of those talks, consideration would be presented to spread out the contract so that not all three are being negotiated in the same year.
