Paving is expected to begin in the early part of July in the City of Uhrichsville.

Mayor Jim Zucal says paving costs will be close to a quarter million dollars.

“We’re going to have a very aggressive paving. We’re dipping into our general paving fund. Remember, we’re the only community in the county that through our income tax we take a portion for paving. That’s around $200,000. We’re going to dip into our permissive uses, our fuel tax, and our licenses plate money, and we’re going to do about $45,000 worth of alley work this year.”

The list this year is extensive, says Service Director Cade Watkins.

“Last year we we’re a little later in the rotation but we talked to the contractor and got moved up so, fingers crossed, as long as everything goes well for them early July is what was mentioned so hopefully, we’ll see them in town.”

Part of the plan is to redo North Water Street extension from Roanoke Avenue to Indian Hill Road.
