Nick McWilliams reporting – Over 130 volunteers will descend across Tuscarawas County for the annual Day of Caring.
The United Way of Tuscarawas County yearly effort brings volunteers from local companies who are partnering in the event.
This year, 23 companies joined the United Way, helping paint some projects for the Dennison Depot and Empower Tusc.
Additionally, more than a half dozen locations received a spring clean-up of their grounds.
Volunteers also helped pack weekend meals for local students with Blessings in a Backpack – New Philadelphia and TUFF Bags.
United Way Community Resources Coordinator Susan Reidenbach and President and CEO Robin Waltz both offered thanks for all who are participating, and for community and business partners who offered support.
