Nick McWilliams reporting – A few closures will affect motorists in Tuscarawas County this week into next.

Starting this morning at 8 a.m., Pleasant Valley road in Washington Township will close between Dunlap Creek Road and Orchard Road. The daily closures will last until 3 p.m., through January 4th.

Starting January 3rd and lasting until the 10th, Pleasant Valley will be closed from Bradley Hill and Gilmore Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Both closures are for culvert replacements, and the road will close for all traffic.

Additionally, in Sugarcreek, Old Route 39 will close from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 4th for roadway improvements. The closure will only be for a 100-foot area, and goes from State Route 39 to Dutch Valley Drive.
