Nick McWilliams reporting – Some brief road closures have been scheduled in Tuscarawas County early next week for bridge inspections.

The Tuscarawas County Engineer’s Office will utilize a specialized truck platform which utilizes a boom that goes under a bridge from above for inspectors to analyze the structure.

All inspections are set for Tuesday, April 25th, and the first is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. in Oxford Township on Johnson Hill Road between the Newcomerstown Corporation Line to Marlatt Run Road.

The next closure will affect River Hill Road in Salem Township outside Port Washington at 10 a.m.

The final inspection is slated for approximately 2 p.m. on Dover Zoar Road in Lawrence Township between County Road 111 and State Route 212.

The bridge closures are supposed to last between two and four hours, and no traffic will be allowed through during the allotted times.
