City of New Philadelphia Mayor Joel Day says he’s asked weekly about the progress for when Chick-fil-A would be coming to town.
Day was able to provide a tentative answer at Monday’s council meeting, saying the restaurant chain is expected to open sometime in the first quarter of next year.
He says the national chain is ready to transform the site of the Travelodge Hotel in the West High-Bluebell Drive area. Day has also met with the operator for the city’s restaurant, who has been managing another location in Montana.
