State Route 212 was shut down for a couple of hours Monday following a crash that caused a natural gas fire.

The New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the one vehicle accident, at a1:40pm, near Atwood Lake spillway.

An investigation found that a 44-year-old of Scio was east in a 2007 Jeep Wrangler four door when she traveled off the right side. The vehicle struck a gasoline inside a pump house and became fully engulfed in flames.

Troopers say the woman made it to safety and had minor injuries. She was transported by Smith Ambulance to Union Hospital.

Enbridge Gas was able to find the shutoff valve near the site. The gas line is serviced by Northeast Ohio, who also responded.
