Vicki Jean Schalk, 65, of Uhrichsville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, after battling cancer. Born March 8, 1958, in Delaware, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Elizabeth Grace (Fisher) Price.

A Twin City resident since 1982, Vicki had previously lived in Delaware, Ohio, as well as in Michigan. Locally, she had worked at Market Basket in Uhrichsville for 15 years, followed by Tusco Grocers and First National Bank in Dennison, before becoming the church secretary for Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison in May of 2010. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Altar Society, and her dedicated service to her parish will be deeply missed.

Vicki will be remembered for her warm smile and outgoing personality, as well as her hard work and efficiency. She loved her down time, especially spending time with her family at their camper at Atwood Lake, vacations to Myrtle Beach, and outings to indulge her enjoyment of local wineries.

On July 9, 1977, Vicki married Wayne E. Schalk who survives her at their home. She is also survived by their children, Melissa (Charles)Yoder, Erin (Thomas) Haviland, and Tony (Elyse) Schalk; grandchildren, Alexandra and Caleb Yoder, Charlotte Haviland and Remington Haviland (who is expected in August), and Gavin and Karrie Schalk; her siblings, James (Pam) Price, Kathy McCreary, and Deborah Whitcomb; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Masters.

Father Jeff Coning, Father Tom Gardner, Father TJ Lehigh, and Father Anthony Lonzo will celebrate the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, in Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison, assisted by Deacon Mark Allison and Deacon Ron Onslow. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. Vicki’s family will receive callers from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison.
