Nick McWilliams reporting – After closing in 2020 due to a slippage, Waterworks Hill Road has reopened in Tuscarawas County.

The road, first opened in 1870’s in Mill Township, became impassable due to a sizable slip that closed roughly 3,500 feet of the pavement.

A release from the county engineer’s office notes that following extensive work to correct the landslide and related slip, traffic is once again permitted.

Elsewhere, in Dover Township, work has been scheduled to start next month on Dover Zoar Road, which will result in a full closure for roughly three months.

Starting on June 6th, crews will start an intersection safety upgrade at the intersection of Schneider’s Crossing and Froman Hill Roads.

No thru traffic, including emergency vehicles and mail carriers, will be permitted during the work period.

For more, contact the engineer’s office at (330) 339-6648.
