Wayne Edward Crilow, of Baltic, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021, after a period of declining health. He was 76 years old. Wayne was born in Millersburg on June 24, 1945 and was the son of Homer and Bernice (Miller) Crilow of Berlin.

Wayne spent many years on the road as a long-distance truck driver. He truly enjoyed his life as a trucker and always had stories to tell when he visited home of the places he had been and the people he had met. Wayne traveled all over the country during his years of driving truck. Later in his life, when health issues no longer allowed for him to drive truck, he took to driving for our local Amish community, which he also enjoyed and made many friends, and he continued this until his retirement. Wayne was a familiar face in the early mornings at Boyd & Wurthmann Restaurant, and he liked to catch Hiland high school basketball games every chance he got. He especially liked the Classic in the Country basketball tournament.

Wayne will be missed, but his smile, his laugh, and his kind generosity will never be forgotten. Wayne is survived by his sister, Irene (Roy) Hill, nephew Todd (Tammy) Harding, niece Tessa (Gerald) Robison, great-nieces Riyyah and Elly Robison, and great-nephews Michael Angle and Cory (Lindsey) Angle. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Bernice, brother-in-law Roy Hill, and former brother-in-law Tom Harding.

Any memorial financial contributions may be made to Smith Funeral Home of Sugarcreek to help Wayne’s family with final expenses. There will be no services at this time.
