Gun hunters of all ages can participate in the seven-day regular season which begins Monday, Nov. 27 and runs until Sunday, Dec. 3.
ODNR Spokesperson Jamey Emmert reminds hunters to wear blaze orange and to obtain written landowner permission.
“Some hunters believe they have the right to access their deer even if it falls on another property where they don’t have permission to hunt and you do in fact have to have permission from a landowner to retrieve your game.”
Following the regular season, a bonus weekend of gun hunting will occur Dec. 16-17th. Archery hunting continues into February.

Additionally, motorists are asked to use caution in areas as deer will be on the move, with the most active times around dusky and dawn.
