The State Highway Patrol says a Bowerston man died following a one-vehicle crash.

On Saturday, at around 5:25pm, the New Philadelphia Post was notified of the State Route 39 accident, in Goshen Township.

Their investigation determined that 58-year-old William Oiler was westbound in a Chevrolet Avalanche. He traveled off the right side and struck a utility pole and two parked vehicles.

He was transported to Union Hospital before being transferred to Akron General. He was pronounced deceased on Sunday.

The crash remains under investigation.

Assisting OSP troopers was the New Philadelphia Fire department, ODOT, and Metro Life Flight.
