Gwen Rummell Reporting –

The Tuscarawas County Health Department announced a weekly walk-in clinic for STD, Hepatitis C, and pregnancy testing.

The walk-in clinic, located at the OhioGuidestone office, is available every Wednesday from 10 am to 1 pm.

A photo ID and an insurance card, if applicable, must be brought in.

TCHD Community Relations Jennifer Demuth says STD and pregnancy testing can be done by appointment at the Health Department, but a walk-in clinic is a faster solution for those who need it.

“We also felt that is was important to offer a walk-in clinic once a week to make it very easy for folks who maybe wake up and they have symptoms or perhaps they just want to make sure that they are very healthy before entering into a new relationship. It makes it easy for them to come into this walk-in clinic and get the care they need.”

Health Department specialists will provide information and treatment options if a positive test result occurs.

Questions regarding the walk-in clinics can be directed to 330-343-5555 extension 1810.
