Wilford M. “Buck” Hoover, 76, of Dover passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, following a five-year battle with Alzheimers disease.
He was born on February 3, 1947, in French Creek, West Virginia to the late Charles and Margrete Posey Hoover. He was also preceded in death his brother, Francis Hoover and brother-in-law, Doug Truman.
Buck was a truck driver for 30 years, having worked for several different companies in the area, and retiring in 2002 from Yellow Freight of Cleveland after 15 years of service.
He married the former Kay Truman on June 24, 1967, and would have celebrated 56 years of marriage in June. He is also survived by his son, Rodney Hoover of Dover; grandchildren, Christina (Seth) Greegor; Seth (Ainsley) Hoover, Kobey Hoover; great grandchildren, Ellie Jo Miller, Addilynn, Alivia and Wyatt Greegor, Kaileb, Daniel and Patrick; brother and sister in laws, Becky (Rick) Carothers, Chet (Polli) Truman, Holly (Garry) Holmes, Darla Truman and several nieces and nephews.
