William Clyde Kohler, Jr., 79, of Dennison, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, after fighting a brave battle with cancer. Born March 24, 1944, in Dennison, he was a son of the late William Clyde and Cleo Juanita (McPeek) Kohler.

Bill was a lifelong Dennison resident and a 1962 graduate of Dennison High School. He enjoyed a long career in manufacturing, retiring first from Joy Manufacturing, then resuming his work until retiring from Dover Tank and Plate. Bill was always happiest when he was building something and was forever doing some sort of home improvement project, including building his own garage and deck.

On November 8, 1964, Bill married the former Kristy Ann Page who survives him at their home. He is also survived by their children, Beth Ann (Jeremy) Jobling, Amy (Chad) Leeper, Kara Jarvis, and Erin (Robert) Wheeler; grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) McQuaid Jr., Hope Renee McQuaid, Trent (Sierra) Leeper, Parker Jobling, Elliott Wheeler, Nathanael Wheeler, and Noah Jarvis; great-granddaughters, Rayne McQuaid and Ava Leeper; and his brother, Craig E. Kohler.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation is planned. His family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
