The Tuscarawas County Parks Department is inviting everyone to a special event at the Norma Johnson Center.
Education manager Marsh Freeland says this year’s winter hike is Saturday from 10 until noon at the center along conservation drive, between Dover and Sugarcreek.
Registration will take place by the red barn, and they’ll have complimentary soup and hot cocoa under the picnic shelter to help everyone warm up.
The United Way of Tuscarawas County is sponsoring the free event. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash, and participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. The national weather service is predicting snow flurries turning to all rain with highs near 40.
