Republican Tuscarawas County Commissioner Kristin Zemis appears poised to secure another four-year term.

The unofficial results show Zemis receiving about 65% of the votes against the democrat challenger.

Zemis says she’s humbled by the faith voters have placed in her.

“I hope they know that it doesn’t matter [what political party] all of us at the county level are always working for all of them to have a safer and more successful Tuscarawas County in the future. We have a very collaborative initiative to move the county forward.”

Zemis adds she believes voters see progress and accomplishment at the county level.
